Florencia Malvasio

Florencia Malvasio is an Attorney-at-Law specialized in Intellectual Property, with more than 20 years of experience in the field. She has been working for the firm since 2005.

She is primarily dedicated to the Trademark prosecution and Litigation Department, handling matters at both national and international levels. She also advises clients on a wide range of issues relating to the protection, enforcement and licensing of their IP rights.

Her practice focuses on trademark clearance and trademark use investigations. She provides practical and well-reasoned legal opinions that assist clients in making business decisions. She maintains direct and regular contact with clients to identify the most effective solutions for their businesses. In addition, she is involved in trademark classification, the development of trademark protection and enforcement strategies in Argentina and abroad, and the supervision of trademark prosecution and opposition proceedings. She also participates in the negotiation of trademark oppositions at the administrative stage, providing clients with creative and effective strategies for resolving trademark disputes. Her work further includes drafting global coexistence agreements, reviewing corporate documents for the recordal of changes of ownership and participating in extensive due-diligence projects.

She maintains active and close interaction with officers and examiners that work at the Trademark Office, enabling her to obtain relevant information for advising clients and facilitating the efficient handling of proceedings.

She is also involved in domain name recovery actions, copyright registration, the drafting and negotiation of trademark license agreements, registration of technology transfer agreements and registration of trademarks in the Customs Alert Record System. She also participates in cease of use actions related to trademark disputes aimed at preventing and sanctioning infringements as well as in anti-counterfeiting matters.

She has participated in numerous international seminars and conferences on IP since 2008.
