Julia Elena Tellechea
Field of expertise
Julia is a founding partner of FRTB, Ferrer Reyes, Tellechea & Bouché, to which she contributed with her previous 12 years practicing all aspects of IP in large local firms. At FRTB she has focused on trademark prosecution and defense proceedings. Most of her practice is absorbed by the management of large portfolios of multi-national companies mainly within the pharmaceutical, agrochemical and chemical fields. She leads extensive due-diligence projects as well as pre and post-merger data validation and assists clients in defining IP protection strategies for special projects.
She is recognized for her large experience and the quality of her work in trademark searching and clearance searches, based on her deep knowledge of the clients’ products and services and their competitors. She also provides accurate pre-filing practical advice and is involved in the follow-up of all steps of trademark prosecution and oppositions, in pursuit of a consistent strategy for the protection of clients’ trademark portfolio. Her close and regular contact with the client is highly valued.
Julia is a regular attendee at PTMG and ECTA conferences and has also published articles in the field of trademark law.
